Kristelyn Wachner
Kristelyn
Wachner moved to San Diego in 2000 to pursue a degree in Asian
Studies at San Diego State University. After earning a Bachelor of
Arts in Asian Studies, she continued her education at the Pacific
College of Oriental Medicine. Kristelyn's 1000 plus hours of
clinical training include personal patient care at San Diego Hospice
and Palliative Care, Rady's Children's Hospital, Acusport Health,
and the University of California, San Diego Rimac Arena for student
athletes. Upon earning a Masters of Science in Traditional Oriental
Medicine, Kristelyn became a licensed acupuncturist and Chinese
herbalist by the State of California Acupuncture Board in 2007. She
has also earned a certification in International Traditional Chinese
Medicine for Traditional Chinese Herbs from the Chengdu University
of Traditional Chinese Medicine. While living in the Schezuan
province of China, Kristelyn attended lectures performed by licensed
acupuncturists and doctors and observed patient care in the herbal,
acupuncture, and tui na massage departments of the hospital.
Kristelyn has been in practice for over two years and specializes in
dermatology, digestive issues, pain management, and stress
management. In her spare time, Kristelyn enjoys many activities some
of which include tennis, hiking, and yoga.
