Svaroopa Yoga offers a doorway inside. We get to dip into our true nature, the nature of the Self which is BLISS. Our external awareness is drawn toward the internal state. We gravitate to that place that sometimes only seems separate. Come dive into the ocean of bliss as we move into the postures that allow access into a deeper realm and ultimately a deeper awareness and release throughout the body and mind.

Svaroopa Yoga invites us to welcome the art of "being" as opposed to "doing". In fact, the poses that offer the most release, require minimal effort. I suppose you could say I'm a minimalist. I like to expend the least amount of energy and derive the maximum benefits. For the last several decades we have explored every possible means of propelling our bodies over land, air, and water in pursuit of better health or at least "looking" fit. Looks may be deceiving and there are those among us that are willing to admit the inside doesn't quite match the outside. I for one, love to work out and for several decades my body didn't put up too much of a fuss. In recent years, it has come to my attention that my body and mind are both rebelling and asking for equal time in relaxation to restore and rejuvenate.

Patanjali, (often referred to as the father of yoga) addressed this dilemma thousands of years ago. In effect, he said, all pain that is to come, can and should be avoided. In other words, there are levels of tension in your body (and mind) if left unattended, eventually will translate into tangible pain that refuses to be ignored. If you don't go in looking for this tension, eventually it will find you. This style of yoga allows me as a teacher to share yoga in a way that approaches each student's individual needs. Everyone is welcome  to (dive) or drop in.
