Molly Kelton
Born
and raised in the Midwest, Molly has always been driven by a deep
desire to understand the subtleties of human experience. When she
was sixteen her intuition led her to intensive study of mathematics
and yoga, and she has been fascinated by both ever since. When she
was eighteen, Molly began studying Sanskrit and the ancient Yogic
and Vedic texts, and has recently begun studying and practicing
Ayurveda as well. For Molly, the practice of Jnana Yoga (the yoga of
wisdom) is like the infinite unfolding of lotus petals or the
unraveling of fractal geometry; she ceaselessly pursues every
opportunity to learn more about these ancient teachings and share
the wisdom of her teachers with her students.
In 2006 Molly completed a 200-hour Yoga Alliance certification in
Vinyasa yoga, following the completion of her Master's degree in
Mathematical Biology. Since then, she has taught Vinyasa to students
of all abilities and needs, as well as restorative yoga, pranayama,
meditation, and beginner Sanskrit. She has also developed and taught
meditation and breathing techniques for children with learning or
behavioral challenges. Fascinated by the infusion of eastern
traditions in western contexts, Molly brings the ancient teachings
to life in the bodies and hearts of her students.
