Jean Glover

Jean Glover, CSYT, RYT 500
Jean came to Svaroopa yoga at its original home in La Jolla, Master
Yoga Academy, in 1996 on the recommendation of a friend to relieve a
pain in her hip. She had never done yoga before and knew nothing
about it. The pain went away, and she stayed. The teachings from the
ancient texts upon which Svaroopa yoga is based, fulfilled a very
long yearning and searching, through many areas of study, for
something more. They brought together all the other disciplines that
she had either worked in or studied. Jean has always looked for
common denominators-universals-that are true for all. A few years
before finding yoga, Jean was seeking direction for her life and was
told to find her essence and express it in a tangible way. At that
time, she had no idea what that meant. During her teacher training
in 1997 under master teacher and founder of Svaroopa yoga, Rama
Berch (now Swami Nirmalananda), the earlier message became very
clear. The teachings and practice of Svaroopa yoga helped Jean find
the essence inside that is the universal, the common denominator for
all. Teaching has allowed her to share the principles of this truth
with others in a tangible way. Jean has been teaching since 1999 and
is a Certified Svaroopa Yoga teacher with 600 hours of training and
a Yoga Therapist with 700 hours of training. She has been trained to
teach all levels of Svaroopa yoga--Continuing, Deeper, Gentle, Yoga
for Pregnancy, Bliss and Vinyasa. She has also been trained to teach
meditation. She is registered with Yoga Alliance at the highest
level, 500 RYT.
